It's animations and fluidity of combat are exceptional, and honestly if it were a game published under any other name it would be probably be ranked among some of the top ARPG's. Both have flaws but both also have their strong points.Diablo III isn't a horrible game. I'm looking forward to both games being released. PoE seems to be made more for the hardcore gamer (Normal difficulty can be played by anyone, which is good) and D3 is more casual. )I still cannot evaluate the implications of the currency system, so right now I don't want to trade at all.Ĭonlusion: both are good games but imo they target different players. )Voice-overs, content, story etc still missing, but such is Beta. )That being said, the classes need more distinctions skillwise and I already saw a ton of suggestions on these forums. )You actually decide what your character wants to be, the skill tree is either a piece of art or a nightmare, depends how casual a gamer you are. I cannot comprehend why sight-hindering objects are not clipped. )The graphics are also nice, the animations are worse than D3's though. )The whole Beta and the Forums are overrun by WoW-Idiots and/or asskissers and one can only hope that Blizz does not listen to these folks. Wouldn't want to party if there are idiot grabbers / pick-it users with me. )Instanced loot is a MUST these days I think and I like that decision by Blizz. This leads to rather inaccurate targeting and makes kiting etc harder (you think you click on empty space only to have your character shoot at something you don't want to - this implies many tears on Hardcore). )The targetting is based on meshes, not on hitboxes because it caters to the planned console versions. )No attribute point distribution is bad, very bad. )Is more dynamic, the skills all feel powerful, the animations are very nice.
